      Shell-beach Sunrise

Gentle teal waves…
slip past ripple-sand reflections
of the fine salmon-sunrise,
as a lonely, nonchalant gull
dances with astounding shells,
and driftwood shadows
of a long-forgotten lighthouse
asleep in the cool morning mist,
(‘mid the bracing after-scent
   of salty air)
where hope and despair debate,
awakening…both time and fate!

BRAVO!!!
Having strolled this very beach makes this all the more special. I especially liked the "nonchalant gull" and "astounding shells"
and a delightful "after scent" !!!

nice
(other words fail me, which in itself says something )
Ok more words

Let me walk the beach of sand and shell
watch incoming crest and swell
take me there with one I love
as the sun shines warm above

Good morning....how lovely is the vision you have painted in this poem...the color, the sound...all working into the final underpinning of meaning.  Much enjoyed!!

Thank you so much!...to all who added comments to this 'write'!

[...and (to all who have asked me via e-mail;
etc.) yes, 'Shell-beach Sunrise', and all of
my other 'geologic' writes, have been about
  'real' places I have seen]
