With Some Urgency

Somehow it just seems imperative to share
or perhaps, it is only my altitude of time

to know this early face of August
as when it touches me on my nose,

then when I lift my arms
as if to embrace such brief a moment,

it is then,
even though I sensed the wind
and its own wandering ways, that

his face, yea, no, the cloud’s face,
veers left, then heads southerly,
as if to visit warmer climes
if only to keep snow away.

So I talk such moments
into perspective
of how, when one lives in a
dreamers’ cloudburst, upon
realizing all of her life,
           and then how, when
it rains, such water
becomes a godsend.

So, I look, for more…
with some urgency.

Hi Sissie.......I looked within that cloud, knowing you saw something there, and saw a baby, new born, with mouth open waiting to be fed, or to rain?...I did!

You know, I kinda see the beauty of you and the world that you share with us.  And, I think you are an incredibly beautiful poet.

I take it you're needing rain up there, SIL?

As always, I enjoy reading your writing....it is so from the depth of you and your heart shows through in everything you write.   ....jo

Sunshine,

Lovely.  As for the rain issue, maybe the cloud will take a right and head our way.   The ponds on the farm are very low.  I did feel two sprinkles earlier tonight!

   Wishing you rainy weather!

hugs,

This is lovely to read. I can understand your prayer for rain as this time last year we were experiencing the seventh year of drought, not to mention bushfires and being as parched as a sunburnt country can get. Now we have rain and I give thanks for every drop that falls.

a most fine (summertime) 'write'!

I am especially fond of:

“… a dreamers’ cloudburst(!)”

[grand photo-image as well!]

sustained applause!!

Ah...summer is so fleeting and I too am filled with a sense of urgency at this time of year. Perhaps God's way of getting us ready for the long winter ahead. Enjoyed as always dear friend

Me, too, Karilea...and  the rain has finally come ...those beautiful clouds burst free to embrace us with some cooler air and couldn't dampen the spirit~~
