There's something about her
That warns them away
Alone with her ghosts
thoughts solemnly sway
In and out the the ocean tide

Besides the phantoms
By her side
Behind the mask
No one can know
What lies deep within her soul

Till one brave soul
Takes sword frokm sheath
And removes the mask
To look beneath
And willst he kiss
The fair beknown
She will remain
Till then alone

I've read this a few times today--and I liked the title so much, too.

I like where you were going with it too, but it does feel incomplete (and if that's your intention, forgive my ignorance) but I did enjoy this description of what I assumed to be a token of appreciation to the tantalizing siren.

I look forward to reading more from you.
