at noon,
X = an inkling,
except on Sundays when X will equal the firelit parlor,
the distance between bodies.

In the bath, if the surface tension breaks
at exactly 88 degrees,
then X = fragment,
but only if the hands tremble.

Y is roughly equal now
to the distance between the wrist
and collarbone,
divided
by the circumference of both shoulderblades.

Assume, a splintered pitcher of milk, a gesture.
If your ribs ache, then subtract the body's weight
in water, or better still, deduct
the age at which you burned
your first epiphany. In bed,
X always equals mouth.

At midnight
on Mondays, in rainblack ribbons,
Y = vesicle.
X + Y occassionally equals a daughter,

ours, named after errant brushfires and hurricanes.

Y will nearly always equal hands then,
or a compass rose.

Must be "Old home week" 'round here...

Read this this morning before jetting off to the J.O.B.....jess gettin' back to it
Happy, I was, to read this....very!

It has everything I would want from a poem

creative and thoughtful (please tell me this didnt just gush out all over the page, born fully formed and Aphrodite-perfect)

See? I am sooo envious of that ability

sheesh....

lol

I'll look around from time to time (here and there) for traces of you (and select others)

and just maybe, one day, write something myself

Be good, you

wranxie...lol

Aphrodite-perfect?  LOL...ok...so i won't admit it..but LORD do I hate to edit....hate it, hate it, hate it...and wrting is the one thing I can actually be lazy about...so it often goes...as is...far...from perfect though, my friend.

I was just messing around with this one....I'm rarely on these blue pages these days...but I always look for you too, love.  I'm glad you're well~

Okay, I got a bit nervous (I am math phobic), but (proudly) I overcame my fear and plowed on.  And know what?  I am so glad that I did.  This is wonderful!  Thank you for sharing.

a MOST superior 'write'!

I am particularly fond of:

"the age at which you burned
your first epiphany(!)"

a grand-fine photo.-image as well!
