A Heart’s Whereabouts

God doesn't bring together a princess and common boy
To let them crash, burn and never discover joint success
You’re my Helen of Troy, bedrock of beauty and rare joy
We started building on mud with sticks making no progress

But wondrous things come to those with diligence and patience
A queen said "Where love is great, the littlest doubts are fear" (hamlet: III,ii)
Let’s put God first to sidestep worries and complications
I believe in miracles and I'll pray and wait for you my dear

I love your humble, joyous and spontaneous nature
That smile has the power to stop war and bring noble peace
Your scent is cancer's vaccine; that kiss is my heartache's cure
My daily press release; not just a conversation piece

You’re my personal hero in this life full of villains
My calm after the storm and lifeguard in rough seas
Fairy tales don't end sour so this fate I'm unwilling
Change is always pure when it beautiful like fall's first breeze

If I'm a kite you’re the wind, so without you I'm flightless
It's not righteous being apart; let the masses have doubts
You’re tragic and I'm lost, but together were a bright mess
Angel, only on your door mat rests my heart's whereabouts

Romeo And Juliet

With love's light wings did I o'er-perch these walls;
For stony limits cannot hold love out,
And what love can do that dares love attempt;
Therefore thy kinsmen are no let to me.

filled with passion, desire,
longing, very powerful,

so poetic, so powerful, to draw any heart in and save it from drowning....
