Heart in a Box Buried in Dreams

Lost like a innocent child in an amusement park
Was a soft confused heart left alone in the dark
How can the sick find peace when the doctor disappears?
Why does running tears make five months feel like years?

Some easily move on but some are stunted in the illusion
Off went my heart on a sail boat into waters of delusion
Now lost in my dreams, what’s reality if it isn’t amazing?
Dead in the day, but alive at night; forever star gazing

As I press against that soft pillow instantly I truly awaken
To the eyes of my love and her first smile that had me taken
From strolls through the park to sight seeing in France
In one night we dance around time not letting it advance

Its worth it just to have one hand stroke through you hair
Making you my daily routine and yet your far off unaware
I wake up, smelling your scent then somehow it becomes real
You’re gone; I'm heartbroken still holding onto what’s surreal

a  fine ‘write’!

I am particularly fond of:

“…like a innocent child in an amusement park
…a soft confused heart left alone in the
   dark”;

AND:

“we dance around time not letting it
  advance(!)”

applause!!
