Within the quiet morning mist
a tangerine sun rose high
over the dancing waves,
casting a warm golden glow,
reflecting the essence
of fine new friendships
born in the ambience
of a city overflowing with smiles
and a myriad of lively accents.
Awakening in Victoria, BC...
fair city that welcomes
Gaia's travelers with open arms
and a mindset which fosters belief
there is indeed,
harmony and unity
in diversity.

Harmony and unity.  The way it should be Kacy.  Gawd woman, I love the way you write and the topics you so graciously share.

Sounds heavenly, lucky you for being a Gaia traveler.  I kinda-sorta got a look at such a thing watching the Planet Earth series on TV which was definitely breathtaking.

You are most clever using the term ... Gaia, and if anyone reading is interested here is a short explanation ... at least I think this is what you referred to...hope hope hope and I must confess I needed to LOOK this up. *wink*

Gaia -"The Gaia theory of James Lovelock emerged in the 1970s as an attempt to describe the entire system of living organisms, weathering, soil, climate, and interactions between it all, as one unity. It mainly focuses on the fluxes and interactions between the parts of the whole system which is described as Gaia, and its ability to regulate its determining processes."

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

I can just feel it. I've heard
of the lovely people there, or
maybe Victoria, in all its beauty,
just makes them that way.
Enjoyed this "trip".

I came back for a second ‘read’ of
this fine piece (likely one of many
such ‘returns’!)

Again…I am grandly fond of:

that ‘tangerine sun’ on those
‘dancing waves’!;

as well as the image of:

“the ambience
of a city overflowing with smiles…”

“…that welcomes
Gaia's travelers…”

and:

that belief in:

“harmony and unity
in diversity(!)”

serious, long-sustained applause!!

Thank you each for reading this! I just returned from a short vacation in Victoria BC, and enjoyed being surrounded by happy vacationers. Victoria is a wonderfully warm and fun city!
