A New World

A new world I have seen
as pristine wilderness
untouched, unsullied,
by man's old ways.
Mountains rose high into the sky,
draped in mantles of virgin snow
reflecting a clear sun at noon.

I walked an alpine meadow
filled with wild flowers blooming free,
nodding their heads in the breeze.
On a rock, a marmot stared placidly
knowing no harm would come from me,
for in this world, I was
the re-shaped human, the one returned
without the lust to kill or destroy
for my mind and heart were bound
in the harmony of love.

I sat beside a cool green lake mirroring
a lush multicolored countryside
which spoke of a genesis revisited
and there, in quiet solitude
someone who looked like God
casually sat beside me without a word;
just sat and looked about satisfied.
We were both infinitely pleased
when a song sparrow landed on his hand
and sang gaily of days to come
for now time was transcended
and the future belonged equally
to every aspect of life within
the womb of this new world
which was earth renewed:
the bride of creation.

Enjoyable read, WW, and I do believe there will be a new world in the future - it just has to be.

What a wonderful view.
May your vision become reality.

this is an absolutely marvelous write!

[somehow, I missed seeing it until now
  (shame on me!)]

I would have chosen to 'hi-lite' the same passage
that Ms. 'Midnitesun' picked out, I believe!

once again: serious, long-sustained applause!
[another one of those poetic 'standing ovations'!!
