Father Of The Wind
By Paul Wilson

Speak to me father of the wind
from beyond the valley of kings
Bring to me that which I desire
more than life… on Pegasus wings

Calm the turmoil within my soul
remove doubt from my empty heart
Let me share today with all those
I love… for soon I will depart

Blinding light coming from the West
holds me on the edge of today
Scatter my ashes on the winds
for all eternity I pray

I’m just a fading memory
of loved one’s that no longer care
Light my pathway with stars of hope
to journey’s end I won’t despair

River of life wash away sins
father of the wind where are you
On rock of salvation I stand
waiting for my life to be through

Look past the mountains and stars to
valley of kings where I reside
Grains of sand mark moments in time
left behind for today I died

~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~
Paul
