.

The sun
Not yet risen
Enough— to dispel
An evening dream

Dew still now
On new year grasses
Willow leaves
Crimson roses
Silent stone

Small gray squirrels
Scamper over branches
The cool air blue
Under silver clouds

With four chirps
Repeated
A morning bird
Seeks its summer love

.

I am REALLY fond of this 'write'!

[most fine images and flow!]

to me, this is 'poetry' at its very best!
especially:

"The sun
Not yet risen
Enough— to dispel
An evening dream"

Dew still now
On new year grasses
Willow leaves
Crimson roses
Silent stone"

Hopefully, this 'comment/reply' post brings this
'write' back to the top of the 'P.I.P' queue!

serious and long-sustained applause!!

Thank you both

I hope some take time to listen to
the piece whose title is used as that
of the poem.  I would be interested
then what people think of the poem.

Thanks again

John

Time's nonchalance
passes over its ignorance
to rise him up
through clouds, rains and pathetic blue
a bright life
however tainted
shines in many a heart
and lights many a soul
till the hand of infinity
pushes him into dark
and buries him deep in celestial dream

soon,his spirt
shall bloom
one or two flowers
around his tome
