Bird song makes a move
into the meditative blues
ready, able, willing,
to override the hue
and bring it safely out
into the auditory world.

A battle rages inwardly,
blues protect their ground,
but when all is said and done
who cannot be bound
and marched off to the bird song
more humbled than before.

The blues thus released
cohort with the birds
and in time, just a time,
comes that thought forgotten
blue bird of happiness!

Thanks Dixie and WW - a time is indeed just a time and only "after" can we know how long it was.

Thank you, Patricia!  We have a gale blowing today in my part of the world but it is the season for it so will just have to ride it out.
