My Fairy Land

My fairy land has gone awry
Not because it was a lie
But because of energy
That could for me no longer be

I rest upon a divan couch
In a restive divan slouch
And thinking past this tired peer
Is further than you’d think was near

The tired slowed the time of day
The time of night the very way
It slowed the process of the grime
Each moment’s dew of logic time

It interferes each place of cue
It interferes the place of you
It interferes the tired twist
It interferers the very gist

I’m waiting for a better day
Perhaps a better, better way

As always, it is good to read your poetic thought and words.  The energy challenge is one that I'm facing, as well.  Is it true that energy is really never lost, but rather channeled differently?

And isn't it so different... the way we feel when we're tired from doing something... and the way we feel when we're too tired to do?

Wishing you a better day... refreshed and renewed. *S* Beautiful write, my friend!!

Well now, perhaps this is a better, better day today, since I missed this yesterday?

I sure hope so.

Much enjoyed this wonderful, wonderful read, sweet Sy.

Best wishes and hugs,

thoughtful, interesting 'write'!

[touching upon, I believe, what a very many of
us are feeling...and not just because of the
   general progression and effects of 'aging';
but also because "American Culture" has
     become such a 'burn out'!]

applause!!

I hope that you are better and I want you to know that (even though I don't know you) I look for your poetry and miss you when I don't see it.  You have shared a wonderful part of yourself with so many - and you have made me smile with the kindness of your soul.

Please, know I think of you.

Alison

Alison, I think we all feel the same about Sy - I look to see if he posted today, and if not, I go into the archives. He is one poet that when absent is truly missed.

His words placed in his unique way

My dear sweet sonneteering friend, I have missed reading your poetry so I went looking for one to get my Sigh fix.

Since writing this poem, your venerable ticker has given you some problems. Once it is back in fine working order, I know that your "Fairy Land" will be a joyful place again.

In retrospect, it is almost as though you knew that you were heading into rough waters when you wrote this poem.

Love you, T-Man!

Giving you the biggest, warmest, loving, healing hug in the whole wide Universe,

Your Earth Angel

Sy,
No matter how good or bad the day,
The poetry is always superb,
and the man, always gracious and pleasant.
Thank you just for being you
Love
Liz
