  A Fine Gypsy-Sea

On this burned-out day
of men painting ruin
  in the world…
as bursts of cloud-fire
  lightning
yield the eternal stage
in deep-azure evening
  shadow-play,
(that heralds a moonbeam
  dance to come)
soft, silent moonlight rains…
upon scattered thoughts
  and twilight dreams
forever floating free,
(through pathless forests
  of endless hope)
to the clear siren-call
of a fine gypsy-sea
and ‘new-love’ adventures!

Isn't that an optimist's path?!

Midnitesun has a point, Poet... sounds suspiciously like optimism to me!

Even though men can be found ruining the world, love can still be found.  Definitely seems optimistic to me.  Hmmm...could also be delusional but I prefer to stay optimistic.

you just keep churning them out, don't you?   I love your language; "gypsy sea." Lovely as usual.

Maybe even in the ruins there is beauty?  Like a sunset in a polluted sky?  You have me thinking and I see the beauty of your mind.

Ofttimes, whilst reading your glorious and mellifluous poems, I think of how wonderful it would be to hear you reciting your own poetry.

Earth Angel, I've had the same thought. Thank you for posting it. Can you imagine the cadence of these words spoken by their author? Wouldn't that be grand...

secondhanddreampoet...Nicely done. A sort of contrast between the simple serene life and the harsh truth of destruction...Paul
