Impossible…Between the Lines
By Larry Chadwick

For twenty years I’ve loved you,

I love you even more
Because you’re heaven sent.
I love you even more
Love for us, our second time,
I love you even more
Has made me so content.

When you look me in the eye,

I love you even more
And put your hand upon my chest,
I love you even more
Are the moments that I cherish,
I love you even more
For they rank among the best.

The fact that you still love me,

I love you even more
After all I’ve put you through,
I love you even more
Is proof that it was right,
I love you even more
That I should marry you.

I thought this was the summit,

I love you even more
Of love as it would be,
I love you even more
But it just never stops,
I love you even more
There’s more for you and me.

So here I stand a lucky man,

I love you even more
Humbled by the love you show.
I love you even more
Perhaps you knew and didn’t tell,
I love you even more
Our love will always grow.

Larry, you dear man, this incredibly sweet and poetic spill from your quill ~ and soul ~ must have surely brought a sentimental tear to your wife's eye ~ and a smile to her heart.

~ and what reader could help but read between the lines.

Love to you and your beloved,

Linda

There's sure a lucky lady out there, Larry!  As for heaven sent, I believe you are, too!
It's been a pleasure to read your writing once again.

What a beautiful tribute to your wife and the love you share... when someone fills your heart to the brim, it does seem impossible that you'd grow to love them even more... but love has a way of expanding even the biggest hearts. *S*

Now this is something "every" woman would love to receive, Larry. It just doesn't get any better than this. Your recipient is a lucky lady indeed! Beautiful, just beautiful.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Alison,
Thank you dear lady for the kind words and stopping by to read.

Kit,
Thanks! And that would be my wife Nancy Lee! After twenty years of marriage we have finally got our relationship working right and it is a blast.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry,

Just stopped in to give this a second look, and as I did, I noticed your response to Kit.   It makes my heart tingle to know that your wife and you have had such a strong love to have reconciled after all these years and circumstances.  It sounds like young love all over!

hugs,

First, know that I did not read the responses...

so that secondly, my response is unhindered from others;

so that, finally, between the lines...
anyone with a heart, could
have felt the truth of the most silent
of all truths.

Well done, Larry.  Not only was this from the heart, but of the heart, because time,
is just that.

Martie,
Thank you for the bonus. I have collected! And thanks for your friendship.

Donna,
Thank you dear lady for always being so kind to me and such a faithful reader. You are much appreciated.

misce',
You are one special lady. I can't believe you came back AND responded. I confess to having settled for a contentment that potential I didn't see. So "rekindled" is appropriate even though she as always been right there in front of me. Now, right now, is the richest my life has ever been. Thank God for the gift he gives to women. I am indebted beyond imagination and paying towards that debt with every opportunity!

Karilea,
Your responses are never diminished by the influence fo anyone, never. But I must say that there is such amazing power in the friendships shared from the heart and soul through blue pages. You represent one of my biggest gems that I have acquired in life. Bless you always for being such a friend.
