When the tea freezes,
the refrigerator is too cold.
When the oak tree breezes
and gives up ghosts to hold...

it's quite enough for now.

What a fine symphony...
dimmed down to monotone-
lost in all your infamy...
I am still here all alone

and how the summer breezes bold,
just bow
unto the wilt and narrow sea-

And if this makes any sense to you,
you're just as sad as me.

Goodbye.

Dear dear Dixie, don't be so sad my friend, we're only here once as far as we know, get out there and find your happiness, cry on the shoulder of a friend, they might have a friend in need of happiness as you, sorrow eats us up, but life is waiting, don't hold yourself back, I understood, but won't let myself greive over my own mistakes.

Goodluck, today is a new day, make the most of it Dixie.

Rick

Dixie,I echo Rick's wise words. You need to be with people who care. You need to be out where life happens. Make new friends of any age. Find someone who needs you as much as you need them. Any age, any gender. Do not let yourself be held back, nor let any man hold your emotions for ransom. Live! and never forget YOU ARE LOVED!!

Dixie,  the worst thing one can do is have
a party without friends present....especially
the ones where people need someone more
than ever.  YOU have a ton of no joke,
really care a hoot ... friends HERE, right
here...and they are not leaving....

I have some of that frozen tea at home right now... But yanno? *S* It does thaw... and I do drink. *S*

And that is NOT making light of your words or feelings... just saying... I understand. I'm only barely back myself. *S*

You write that end-of-the-road-facing-a-brick-wall feeling so very well!!!

just goodbye to what's not working...a change is on the horizon soon, I can feel it

one can only go through so far in life being monotoned

Sadness isn't something that we will away. Truth accepting, expressing and facing it is the best thing we can do. And you seem to do that well. Here's to better days etc.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Dixie

Wonderful and sad.

And with change, we can take the wisdom of the past.  You will be happy one day soon -- I feel it and know you so deserve that.

This is a sad write, Dixie, but well expressed.  Change?  Yes, perhaps something we all need either internally or externally.  It's what we do with that change that counts.  I wish you well.

Yep, there's change in the air my friend...my daughter was married last August, my son will be married in a week, then a week later they're moving to California ... WOW! After 26 years . . . FINALLY! . . . Peace & Quiet!!  My wife has her personal room, I have mine, we both have computers on-line .... who knows, we may not even see one another for a month!

Change is always in the air my friend. One just has to be recepetive to it to know it's there and obviously your radar is tracking now. I'm glad to see you're back on line and ready to accept it.

No need to rush now that the wheels are turning again...just let them roll and they will get you there.

Truthfully, we, Terry and I, aren't so sure WE'RE READY for all the "peace and quite", though I think my kids are and that's what counts to us as parents.

Keep the faith, my Friend.

Dix? I've missed you.

I know you're bigger than the pain... it's ok to hurt. Warm winds will come soon. Take care...

You are the symphony, Dixie!  Never monotone, and I feel the melodies swell in most poignant strains of your heart, but there is power to heal therein, too, and the joy of new beginnings.
