one night i spent a month
inhaling the thick honeysuckle sussurus
the long summer swift dark
where ray charles croons
still, forever.

i am sorry i woke you
when they took away all
the effulgent woods
i am sorry we were there
to see the second burning
of atlanta

and
every wild mouse
marched into the basement.

I am glad that I stopped to read.  I really like this and would like to read more of your poetry.

I like the melody and flow of your words. It reads very smooth, but it reads as if you are using obscure images to intentionally hide the meaning.
