To know in part is but the child
in outward look from heart
undisturbed and unconcerned
with what the people say
and this the pendulum
un-swayed by criticism.

But come the day, the moment,
of childish thoughts aside
and I swing the pendulum
left/right, left/right, left/right,
as if the corners hold
what needs to come out.

A touch here, a touch there,
but the down after a climb
leaves freedom’s gain removed
to a prison of neglect.

Swing, swing, wide and wider still;
‘tis just the usual commonplace
in constant motion to
the far away apart
from the truth of heart!

~ Oh, Honey, this aches.

May a new pendulum swing to and fro from the heavenly to the divine.

Giving you a warm embrace,

What a unique comparison, Helen!  It does seem that way at times.   ....jo
