Why the Poems Write

I wonder why the poems write,
created from within.
When really life has slowed its pace
and I've become my twin.

A simple touch can bring much joy,
a velvet feel that stirred
the innermost of outer
to my other self deferred.

I wonder why I feel this way
as if I'm two, not one
when all I want is ordinary,
to undo what's been undone.

Sometimes I write confusing self
of purposeful desire,
wordless meanings just to push
the other one's require.

For knowing what has to be done
to further live exposed,
means crossing still those darkened paths
that lead through doors once closed.

So here I am with words miscued,
to keep my thoughts in place
waiting for the moment of
the day to new embrace.

It's coming, that I know for sure,
as she speaks mine in gift.
We are the same, each other's heart,
a twin in thought to lift...

The burdens of each yesterday,
the challenges that yearn
tomorrow into "Once Upon"
when I, myself return.

M

a fine 'write' containing much 'food for serious thought!'

and more of what I call an effective
"slice of 'everyperson-life' dejavu":

"I wonder why I feel this way
as if I'm two, not one
when all I want is ordinary,
to undo what's been undone."

Perhaps a very many (most?!) of us end up
feeling similarly (I know that I do!)

sustained applause!!

For knowing what has to be done
to further live exposed,
means crossing still those darkened paths
that lead through doors once closed.

And it can seem like an endless void stretches before us. *S* I really like this! *S*

Yes, it is  so tiring to know how long the road is stretched in front of me~~ but there is only  one path to follow and that is the right one
Thank you
