One summer field
bluebonnet filled

and limbs all tangent
to a heated swirl
of ground and sky

where sweat beads reign
on you and I.

To swaying winds
and busy buzz
of working nature's traffic

we toil on
our private land -

the cultivation of
primal necessities.

"You inspire; I desire – and refrain; you sustain."
