The daylight breaks anew in soft accord
In streaming light across the shadowed dawn
A gift that gently feathers, from my Lord
It touches gracefully and then is gone.

Though shrouded, darkest shadows filter in
And rock me clear to my eternal core
They push me down, repeatedly, in sin
I flounder helplessly forevermore.

My weary eyes behold a dawning light
I grovel, but I cannot reach from here
Please tell me, Lord, do I have any right
To beg for mercy sweet with You so near?

So powerful is your beseeching call
My Lord, my God, you surely are my all.

~A timely repost of my first attempt at a Sonnet~

I can imagine Him smiling at how you use the gifts that He gave you.

A postcard perfect pic!

Love to you, Dear Poet/Photographer!

It's so beautiful!! I am awestruck...speachless I loved it.

So no more hiding all your pain, you deserve a new start. That's why i'm closing myself away, this is a message from your heart.

DearestFriends~
Thank you all sooooo much for the super replies~

Our sweet member friend, Denise Snyder, was my mentor in the wings who helped me to get this Sonnet 'spot-on'~

My da-dum's don't usually work in this meter, so it was especially rewarding for me to be able to pull this one off~

Whew ... worth all of the Tylenol it took to complete it~

Nice to know that words of praise to the Lord-of-my-knowing are so warmly rewarded by your comments~

Poetry is the heart of many thoughts to be shared~

I have no words for the beauty held in this loving write and that picture goes so well with this.  One of your most impressive writes Margie (and there are many, many of them to chose from.)

In one word?

lovely

I would envy your skill with a sonnet if it wasn't a sin.
