At the first sign of weakness you strike
with un-erring precision, so cruel.
Turned on those you are meant to protect,
ones' first line of defense, as a rule.

In our temples the battles are waged
wreaking havoc that's felt on both sides.
An affront to the senses displayed
by the rivers of tears man has cried.

Paradoxically seen through the pain,
is, we're hurt by our side who's immune.
Valiant soldiers who fight for our health
lest our bodies should fall into ruin.

Penned as proof should some doubt still remain,
sinus headaches can drive you insane!

Clever title! ~ and poem!

~ but now my own head is throbbing! ~ Is there a doctor in the house?!? Oh, yes! There's YOU! I trust that you won't charge me for your services. ~ Afterall, it's your poem that is the culprit for my grand mal de tete!

I'll kiss your head better ~ if you kiss mine.

Amen to that!!! *G* I once asked my doctor if sinuses served any purpose but to give allergies a way to make me miserable... he never did answer. *G*

Dear doc...I wish there was a cure that I could recommend, and the pity is, if there was, it might be worse for you then the pain.

The best thing for it is good humor...like this poem.

EA,
Consider it done, and thanks.
Doc

suthern,
Thanks, this is relatively new to me, I could probably count the number of headaches
I've had in my life on both hands with a few fingers left over, until now. It's been four days of pure hell. I've been running on 3 to 4 hours of not very recuperative sleep, the work load however, has no respect for this. The self medication/loss of appetite/sleep deprivation/ work overload, all added up to this poem. To make matters worse,I'm faced with more of the same, as the pharmaceuticals will wear off like clockwork @ about 3:30 A.M. again. Oh well, perhaps it will spawn another poem. Thanks again,
Doc

Midnitesun,
Thank you. yes, there is humor even in relentless pain, if one only knows where to look.
Doc

Drauntz,
Thanks, thanks! As a matter of fact at several times during these recent onsets of
this cruel new affliction, I have been seeing double!
Doc

Dear Martie,
I believe we may be thinking along the same lines, I've reached the point of desperation with this. I did find it somewhat of a relief trying to channel
some the agony into this poem ( physician, heal thyself). If it goes a week without getting much better I s'pose I may have to go see a "real" Doc. Thanks.

I sincerely hope you're feeling better... I wouldn't wish such misery on anyone. (Well... *sheepish grin*... almost anyone... I am, after all, very much human and I hold grudges *G*) And you certainly don't need pain to spawn poetry... but you did channel this pain into an excellent write! *S*

suthern,
Thanks very much. Day 6 is showing much improvement, providing there are no relapses
I should be pretty much back to "normal" soon. TC,

I feel for you! I suffer from chronic sinus problems...thank you Ex boyfriend for breaking my nose...no it's not as dramatic as it sounds...his elbow ran into my nose...
but for $3,000 you too can get your deviated septum fixed...

Hope you're feeling better..atleast you still have your sense of humor

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.
