once again
i walk these halls
that caught my tears
and my footfalls
where spirits, kindred
and souls, divined
embraced each other
through quagmires, refined
and through the looking glass beheld
our yesteryears
and songs sung well
what stands now in our future days
when what was lost in winsome ways
naught else but hope shall now prevail
and, thus, reveal more tales to tell

And what is learned
when all is done
although the spirit carries on
it seems that hope is floating free
and only caught by folk like thee

If only we could lift the veil
and see the things that still prevail
I'm sure that then, that songs sung well
would give us far more tales to tell.

Thank you, Ivor, for such a beautiful reply! I love when poetry begets poetry... I am honored and touched

And thank you, Drauntz, for reading... I'm glad you enjoyed it!
