Give me one good reason why I should stay You can tell me I'm a blind ol' fool to throw all this away. But, give me one good reason why I should not go... It will help my mind pass the time as I head on down the road. You can't say nothing that aint been said. You can't make a sound that will ever drown out the silence in my head. You can blame it on some ramblin' song, you think I'm trying to find... But, give me one good reason... Just give me one good line. Give me one good reason. Give me one good hook. Give me one good thought as to why I bought this empty ol' notebook. Give me one good reason I should not be leaving. I don't want to go But we both know You get a damn good song from grieving. You can't say diddly You can't say squat Nothing you can contrive makes me feel more alive than when I aint got a pot. You can blame it on some Lost Highway song you think I'm trying to find... But, give me one good reason... Just give me one good line. |
