fridays are crinkle creeks with walls sometimes
when alleys do chance meetings
of highways and side street beauties

you were leaving behind birds and bees
and a parking lot with puppy chews
that you threw your free time too

your love box was in back up then
for an stranger on wrong way blue
taking stogies to the grave stone man

you threw him a smile with no price tag
lady chrome over candy and tan
one of those daydreams stopped in time

that would make old hounds chase their tails

scribblenote: birds and b's is an exotic bird place next to a cigar store owned by a local mortician.  the rest is just positions of queens and rooks on the asphalt board

"for an stranger on wrong way blue
taking stogies to the grave stone man"

and I am chasing my waggle tail too...

(this would be "that way" that I spoke about...)

I like this too.  I can't pin point one line because they all capture me.  It's like reading a beautiful puzzle today - and, again, you leave me with a smile.
