The sound of death a distant hum
With shadows breath a constant drum
Where dewdrops lose their glorious bright
And colors slip back into white

And chaos runs the rivers grime
O'er a slooth box made of time
Filtering a gold of goal
To build the essence of a soul

I can not pierce the chaos gray
Nor can I say this is the way
But somewhere in each waterfall
I feel there is a distant call

The path of life to me is clear
With all its pain and all its fear
It is the essence of a power
As beautiful as a flower

So view the Nova of your death
A new beginning and new breath

Your verses flow
like crystal brooks
A wisdom never
found in books

And you, my friend
provide the stream
that I will travel
in my dream

a fine ‘write’!

I LOVE:

“dewdrops... ‘glorious bright’ (!)”

AND:

absolutely any kind of  “box made of time(!)”

as well as:

“… somewhere in each waterfall
I feel there is a distant call…”

and the powerful ending:

“ view the Nova of your death…
A new beginning and new breath”

sustained applause!!

Distant calls of waterfalls
Beckon everyone
May they echo far and wide

Yes, Sey...

Indeed there is a distant call,
where waters come now break the wall
where pathways hither are once again,
and Brigadoon, she welcomes in.

Smiling at you, always...

I hope you can see me smiling from here Sy.

You know I love to explore these endless questions, and words like this, keep my mind happily pondering. I truly believe the challenge is life itself ... and the reward for all our hard work, comes thereafter. As you so beautifully said:

“A new beginning and new breath”

I love that …wonderful words to ponder. You’re making me think this morning as I enjoy my cup of tea with you.

Best wishes and big hugs,
/Kit

Yes, a Nova....I like that, Sy.  The waterfall imagery took me to a peaceful place, too.  A treasure, this!  *hugs*....jo

I'm so infactuated by water, the sea, ocean...and it does speak and pull and tug as you explain, but it also sooths us and places great big arms around our souls, protecting us from the rain...

hugs for this beauty

So view the Nova of your death
A new beginning and new breath

I was sitting here thinking about him and hoping he is in a better place, and space.
What an incredibly wise man, and I miss him.
