Broken Flowers Making Me Sad

Allright, the failure of the
relationship was mostly my fault.
I chose a woman that didn't
seem to be available.
A woman that wasn't
proficient in dependability and
wanted no part of accountability.
As a result, my life
was immersed in strife.
Too many days and weeks and nights
full of contention and apprehension.
Too many coming and goings without
sharing her true intentions.
Still she was all I had.
Broken flowers making me sad.

Your poems always make me think that I am glimpsing inside you - and I like that. I have grown by reading your poetry and I have seen you grow as you write the poems you share.

Complain? Hardly. I think that you speak of a part of all of us - and I think it is a fine thing to be able to share vulnerability.
