Dreaming

As u lay here,
no energy to do anything.
Crying, I can think of one thing and one thing only,
When I think of it, I weep even harder.
Its her.
The love of my life, were has she gone, how is she doing.
I close my eyes and think of all the things I love about her.
None I see her beautiful smile,
I can still smell her hair
and feel the touch of her skin beneath my hands.
It fills with happiness as I remember her ever detail.
My tears of pain turn to tears of love.
I look up at the ceiling and as I look; I see a flash of her.
She’s looking down at me with a look,
this look that makes me quiver.
I smile at her and she’s gone.
Then I remember that it was only a dream, she isn’t here with me
and sorrow fills me once again.
It was a good dream, a wonderful dream.
I have to find her,
I know she’s out there waiting for me to come after her.
I look back at the ceiling once again hoping she’ll reappear,
I don’t see my love.
The dream is over and I get to my feet.
Energy rushes through me once again, it makes me smile.
She inspires me, fills me, completes me.
She gave me my will to live from parts unknown.
She is the woman of my dream’s and the owner of my heart.
The woman of my dreams.

We can all benefit from the little glimpses through our mind's eye, as we dream of what may be one day. I enjoyed getting a glimpse of your inspiration, Matthew. Nicely done. Welcome to Passions!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Hi, Matthew! My goodness, that is quite an impressive first attempt at writing a poem! With a romantic and poetic heart such as yours, you have certainly come to the 'write' spot!

May your dreams become your reality!

Giving you a warm, welcoming hug,

In dreams and in love there are no impossibilities
Author: Janos Arnay

That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know nothing about it.... We do not know it because we are fooling away our time with outward and perishing things, and are asleep in regard to that which is real within ourself.
