I worry about the little things And all the joy it supposedly could bring I worry why my hair is not perfect today Why I don't look my best How can I have some rest Why I have gained weight Why chances come so late Why I can't have my way Why don't you say All that I need you to say I worry about these things and forget That what you give is what you get I got you What can I give in return?? Days without pain!? Love that surpasses its own name I can't guarantee Any of that which I can give to thee I can just wish that I can hold you close Yet set you free Though how can that be is a mystery to me I can only sit here and pretend That little things that worry me would end That I would start worrying about bigger things Like why one world sings And the other stand mute Why things are torn from the root Why some would shoot Words and all And some would try to stand tall Why some cry Other try And other weave goodbye As they walk away And we… Stranded in words, do not know what to say You see.. I no longer worry about those little things Between you and me I worry about thee And the world that could be Other things!? I worry about them..not They are just a lot And one would worry endlessly And think about them eternally ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

The book title, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff", came to mind as I read your poem. I used to be the consummate worry wart! I even worried about my worrying!  Like yourself, I now just worry about the big stuff! ~ and that still keeps me pretty busy! lol Let go and let God  EA  |

One of my favorite quotes is, "Worry is a waste of the imagination" Your poem reminded me of that. |

Earth Angel Worrying is part of being a human….& we can't totally stop it no matter what.
