A figment of my imagination, perhaps?

   ~YOU~

captured me with your word fragments
  left dangling,
like disjointed memory fragments,
rough sketches impressed
upon life's canvas.

Gazing at my rippling reflection
in a nearby peaceful eddy
reminds me
the vast surging sea
is always within
each solitary stream.
The colors and hues vary
but the essence
remains true.
For even as the end result
is itself but a fragment
of the total reality,
each point of light,
each ripple
stands alone
but never separately.

Thoreau, van Gogh...
all the masters
understood.

Cast in bronze,
brushed in sepia or garnet and gold
by palette knife or pencil bold,
life splashes itself
in living color;
and when passion paints
life's whitewashed board
with primary colors,
it sets free each ray of light,
revealing itself
to all whose eyes
are open.

YOU,
are not just a figment
of my poetic mind's
reality.

a fine 'write'!

I love the imagery of :

word and memory fragments
sketched upon life’s canvas

and:

the vast surging sea
within each stream

as well as:

brushed in sepia ... garnet (or) gold

but, I especially admire:

“each ripple
stands alone
but never separately.”

[would that were true of all humans!]

Applause!!

OMG, this was magic, simply stunning

and this...

is always within
each solitary stream.
The colors and hues vary
but the essence
remains true.

sighs....
