I’m centered and I tend to spin
But when I do, you can’t come in
I’m still, but everyday does stir
So what I see is just a blur

My axis it is still and set
But what goes round I can’t forget
And though I try to stop and learn
I spin too fast to have a turn

I’m centered and such sights I see
When calm and still and want to be
But then the hand of day does spin
And once again I’m caving in

My axis was the start of me
My place of rest, where I was free
But then the world began to grow
And spin so fast, I didn’t know

I’ve tried to slow and find the brake
But find that all the moves I make
Progress the spin a little more
So even I can’t find the door

And that is life, the way I live
The things that fate and time do give
Spinning in this dizzy blur
Not calm and free as I’d prefer

I have felt that spin turn into an almost frenzy lately.

This is so true for me too - and I thank you, Rick, for sharing a poem that applies to me -- and I am sure, many others.
