All alone

Hi John!  This one is truly exceptional.

There seems to be at least three ways to read it.  First as a painting, second as a celebration, and third for its melancholy undertone.  All three elements come together perfectly.

Best, Jim

Thanks everyone

I do better just hanging around
with my eyes open until a poem
shows up

Thanks again

John

a little boy runs around
and jumps up and down
To chase the last dancing light
in first summer dawn

"Daddy, I caught it"

He cheerfully drops the ray
along with  his memory
into his heart of loving song
where all the shines belong.

*******
Now, you can close your eyes now.
