Without a Dream I did not dream a dream or plight It was a dark and weary night My day was chores and shopping stores And separating mine from yours I sat me down my comfy chair And turned the TV on the air Pushed the buttons one by one But there was none my interest won Got a book and tried to read But even that did go to seed I’d missed my flight of fantasy My evening cup of ecstasy I shifted things from space to space And put each object in its place But could not find a place for me My boat stood doldrums in the sea Oh weary me, oh dreamless me I surely miss my fantasy |
