Without a Dream

I did not dream a dream or plight
It was a dark and weary night
My day was chores and shopping stores
And separating mine from yours

I sat me down my comfy chair
And turned the TV on the air
Pushed the buttons one by one
But there was none my interest won

Got a book and tried to read
But even that did go to seed
I’d missed my flight of fantasy
My evening cup of ecstasy

I shifted things from space to space
And put each object in its place
But could not find a place for me
My boat stood doldrums in the sea

Oh weary me, oh dreamless me
I surely miss my fantasy

ah yes Seymour, sometimes we miss the fantasy so much that anything else just doesn't compare.  Loved seeing your thoughts here this morning.

I don't have much to say
except I felt this deeply
and saved it to my library.

Sometimes, you leave me just with this feeling of having caught a glimpse of your heart.

Happy Father's Day Sy, and I see the gift today was from you to all of us.  What a lovely comment that was indeed, and so very true.  No other can share pieces of the heart as you.

when the fantasy is gone...what remains? For you it seems poetry remains even without the fantastic.

a good commitee can decimate communication.

Oh, I love this. Without dreams, what would we have to look forward to. I have alot of dreams. But, so far, none have come true. A dreamer never stops dreaming. I'm still dreaming of my Prince Charming!

When one works hard on the search,
they forget to look behind them.

I think your is as
near as your next breath, m'friend.

Could you possibly know how wonderful it is to read you again?

Oh happy I, oh wondrous sigh ...
I've truly missed my cup of Sy.

Best wishes and big hugs for my morning read,
/Kit
