Are you for
or against him
fighting
sacrifing
his freedom
for ours
Lay down your differences
as he lays down his head tonight
Do you realize
how much we take for granted
he doesn't complain
he's thankful
to be alive another day
Are you?
Do you find
yourself more selfish
than thankful
It was his choice
to serve
you
to serve
our freedom
he takes pride
in the lives
he's protecting
Are you for him
or against him
Is he in your prayers
like you are in his
Lay down your differences
as he lays down tonight
He doesn't regret one moment
Don't take life for granted
just remember
that solider
a brother
a mother
a son
a daughter
a husband
a wife
and remember
all those
who sacrificed
their lives
for you

The flow was a little rough but I think it suits the poem well.

Whats important to me is to believe in God and to believe in myself and to believe in those that care for me...if others don't believe in me thats there choice...James

I'm for him and the other fine soldiers of our country~

May he be kept safe to return to the family~

You can let him know that I join others in appreciating ALL they do to defend our country and keep us safe and free~

I am very much 'for him' and for all the soldiers in Iraq, Afganistan, the US, and other parts of the world.  They are heroes - volunteers who have given up so much.

They are amazing people - and I am very grateful for every soldier who serves.

Ceinwyn -

I'm very much FOR him.  I understand what you're going through, for I have a younger brother who is serving his 3rd time in Iraq since the war started.  I've got two other brothers in the military, also, but so far, they're still here on home territory.  I've got every one of our soldiers in my thoughts on a daily basis.

Kris, I am FOR all those who serve, honour, and protect! It must be unbelievably difficult for them to carry out such harrowing patriotic duties. I wish we could bring them all home safely NOW.
I thank my lucky stars that I do not have a loved one over there on treacherous foreign soil.
You wrote with such passion and I could feel your angst in the pit of my stomach.

God bless them all ~ and you,

Love, Peace, & Harmony,
Linda
