Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

Like wine spilled across the table
Words poured from my fingertips
A stream of emotion and images
Flowed to drip key-by-key onto the page
Intoxicated by inspiration, I wrote
Creativity, inebriated, wove out of control

Fingers beat a tattoo of tap-tap-tapping
And clicked steadily, heady with power
I sat back and watched with a bemused smile

Then gave them their day to shine.

A good read, absolutely positively a good read.

I especially enjoyed this piece because as a guitarist, my vocal talents are judged by the measure of skill in my fingers, not my voice.
So to read something like this, I feel the same way.

Thank you for this fine read, and sling a comment for my Ameteur work if ya' dun' mind
=)
Cheers.

I believe this ‘write’ finely captures what
the act of creation of ‘poetry’ does to/for
many (most?!) of us!

I especially LOVED:

“Like wine spilled across the table
Words poured from my fingertips”

I am quite glad you “gave them
their day to shine(!)”

once again (as so often) I am
quite impressed by this author!

long-sustained applause!!
