I know what you mean when you say that And I cherish the secret shared Ice cream laughter melts into silent smiles Brushing out hair tangles from the wet Knowing what you mean there (and there) Body brushing against denim, bending, touching Listening to word expression Morning coffee cooling as warmth of us builds Braiding hair, pulling on boots to dance Around thoughts which mirror mine I know what your pictures mean, you know We speak the same language Silent lips, minds pirouetting to music dreams Spinning around the outskirts of propriety Whispering – I know what you mean when you say that. --- Alison |
