Many things in my life went wrong,
I thought that these had made me strong.
Now I know that it was not true.
For that lesson, I do thank you.

When my family had hurt me,
I fell apart as you did see.
But then I stood on my two feet,
handling the life I did meet.

When an accident put me down,
I still refused to show a frown.
Proud I was, of what I became,
but this is nowhere near the same.

For when a woman bears a child,
her love for them is never mild.
Part of her soul she gives to them,
from which both life and love do stem.

Though  now I fully understand,
that things don’t go as we had planned.
Never again, can I be whole,
for you broke my mind, heart and soul.

Even though bad things are happening all around us, we do not start losing hope until we focus on the bad.  In the moment that we can redirect our focus to the good things that are happening around us, hope is awakened...James
