Forever In Your Heart

I remember the conversations,
laughter on end,
the difference between,
your dialect and mine,

Nights for you walking,
Dark and dangerous,
just to hear a voice,
share our thoughts.

Noises of lurrays,
loudly driving by,
drowning out our
deep conversations,

My question, to you,
was in pondering,
if the booth was red,
like the ones in the
James Bond movies?

You Laughed and said no,
that not all booths there,
are red with glass panes.

Weird characters walking,
looking at you,
as I worried,
something would happen,

We talked and talked,
laughed and laughed,
till we almost...
that made it even more funny.

We could have talked for days,
weeks, or years, the longing
became more intense, as did,
the phone bills.

It was worth every penny of it,
or shilling, for laughter,
and love like that is priceless,

I was so high on life,
on love then, we both were,
happy times remembered,

I wonder if you remember
them too, as you pass by,
that phone booth,

I wonder if you think of me?

I love this piece of you - a part of your life shared.  And you know, I bet he does.  How could he help but?  This is good writing .. you wrapped me around your words.

Thank you.
