those dreams never did bother me really
I knew they were not real
only temptation in the typical
not much on appealing apparel

standing at some other man's window
waving goodbye to him
and hello to me
as I drove by slowly often

as if it had been planned all along
around the blocking my thoughts
with the engine off quietly
but the stereo on proud

so you could feel me before
you even got to know me
and could hear me too
from the inside secret side

before I spoke and woke you
