Gaia

Splash cobalt skies with alizarin crimson,
dabble droplets of titanium white mist
atop a cerulean crested wave-caress
before each seashore's kiss.

Spread verdant hillsides with sage and lavendar,
let honeysuckle spill over separating fences;
set morning glories free to climb brown poles,
line dingy streets with precocious wildflowers.

Walk a city street scattered randomly
with burnt orange and plum colored maple leaves;
smile at rampaging dandelions shouting yellow
before spinning in their white aerial dance.

Grab your colors and stroke Gaia's face,
for she awaits your personal touch
with paint or words honoring beauty and grace.
She offers a blank canvas custom-made for each.

A fine celebratory 'write' of Earth and Nature's artistry!

I especially love:

"Grab your colors and stroke Gaia's face,
for she awaits your personal touch
with paint or words honoring beauty and grace.
She offers a blank canvas custom-made for each(!)"

sustained applause!

Yes,  you have done very well in your painting
of nature and her trimmings.

Hi Kacy...what a wonderful world this would be in the capture of her under a tree with a book and lots of time.  Your poem is rich with the best of her.

Many a time I have wondered
what it would be like to apprehend directly
the colors and the clouds.
Now I can see something of them
in Midnitesun's magic brush strokes,
rendered palpable,
seen through the luster
of Midnite cobalt blue and arctic eyes.
(It's not too good I just made this up on spur of the moment.
Maybe it is just that I haven't dinner yet?)

Floating,

Some of my favorite oils - when I still had the heart to paint.  *smile*

I have always thought that, from time to time, the Mother enjoys being a painted lady.

Great stuff in this poem!
