Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

0 posted 2007-05-27 10:28 PM

I can paint cloud pictures in white blue skies
Brushing strokes of dreams from memories gone
Washing green pastures with tears from my eyes

Adding small snapshots of time fleeting by
Each one signed by those who have since moved on
I can paint cloud pictures in white blue skies

The wind whispers songs to cover lost cries
Emotions bursting into trembling song
Washing green pastures with tears from my eyes

Death captures time as it takes off to fly
Yesterday holds friends forever as one
I can paint cloud pictures in white blue skies

Life soars from sorrows like a butterfly
Lush lands flourish under nourishing sun
Washing green pastures with tears from my eyes

Time heals all wounds until the blood runs dry
Muted by cries of hearts once thought undone
I can paint cloud pictures in white blue skies

Look high to the blue and hear the soft sigh
Sheer portraits are framed as if to be hung
I can paint cloud pictures in white blue skies
Washing green pastures with tears from my eyes

...

Alison

Dixie

Thank you for taking the time to read and write your thoughts.  You among those whose work I look for -- thank you for not leaving.  There'd be too big a hole on the boards.

Thank you, Honeybunch, for stopping by and reading.  It means a lot to me.

Sheli Dahlink,

Thank you for setting me straight and for the help.  You know that I love you lots and value your thoughts as much as your beauty.  (grins)

a most pleasant, enjoyable ‘write’!

I particularly love:

“I can paint cloud pictures in white blue skies
Brushing strokes of dreams from memories gone”

and:

“Emotions bursting into trembling song…”

serious applause!!

DS

Thank you -- and I'll paint that fence any day.  But in the name of friendship.  Please, hold the oatmeal.

Thanks for reading and writing.

Beautiul Gentle Spirit, I have learned much in this almost year that I have been here.  And, yes, I am stretching and trying styles that once I never knew of -- that is what PiP has given me.  All of you have nutured that desire and fed it -- and now, it is almost in a feeding frenzy.  Doesn't that sound lovely?  See what happens when I respond before breakfast?

Thank you - this is also one of my favorites.
