Ode to a Toad

Lily pads pack homes lagoon
Below a chrome and sexy moon
Where nomad toads all Galahads
Croak their love and wait unclad

Flamboyant they gloat their glower
Offering dower on the hour
Knights of the night they sing and recite
Croaking with might their songs of delight

Ruckus tunes of male ensnare
Tawdry songs beyond compare
Horny for a closures mate
Below a rapist moon of fate

Bold and constant is their sweep
Passionate sounds of re-beep
Roaring a rile of rhapsody
Stating fruitions destiny

Exploding echoes of flimflam
Frantically calling here I am

Reh-DIP! *G*

You bring to mind those nights at the farm right after a rain... the chorus of "here I am" is impressive... seems every one of them are swearing they're really a prince! LOL

I like this so much... excellent work!

Night sounds are a special language all alone unto it's self.

Enjoyed the writing.

Sey,

You can see this every Saturday night outside the clubs in Chester!

But you put poetry into the fracas....

Almost makes you wanna croak!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
