Softly, the breeze wanders through a wondering mind,  whispering
quietly into the rushes as vines curl  and leaves swirl….as feathers
Fly and eagles cry…and Robins seek the cherished worm.

If only it were….and time was….when all else seems so far from
A finger’s trace….and lovers again lie still as hearts race into the
Dark of night..and lips again seek the sound of a sigh…a single
Mingled sigh…Before the Loon’s cry breaks the  glow of a
Waking dawn.

Magnus,

This brought back fond memories of hearing my first loon.  It was on a family trip to the wilds of Canada.  Being from the city, I had never heard the sound of a loon.  It scared me half to death until I got used to it.

As far as details go, remember, three dots for an ellipse, except when it ends a sentence, then it's four.

I like the poem very much.

such a descriptive write, of both the eyes and the ears.  And the loon has such a lovely, lonely sound.  beautiful.

Wonderful write Barry...
there is something so soulful and haunting about the loon's call.
You captured it expertly.

Barry,
Wow! This has the potential to leave me speechless. Except then I couldn't tell you how incredible I believe this write to be. I see the setting, I hear the cry and I feel the ache. All becuase of your talent and experience. Very well done my friend.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
