Riotous wildflowers now thrive in abundance
where prim pampered pansies once flourished.
Smiling at the change, and inspired
by the arousal of once-dormant emotions,
I revel in nature’s free-spirited artistry,
expressed in the bounty of resplendent colors
ardently competing with the glory
of the most brilliant morning sunrise,
or the magnificence of a late-summer rainbow.

Midnitesun,

This is good work on a short poem.  I approve.

Here in the city, our wildflowers walk on two feet.  They are beautiful too.

This is a most fine 'write'!

superb 'imagery'!:

"...nature’s free-spirited artistry,
expressed in the bounty of resplendent
   colors
ardently competing with the glory
of the most brilliant morning sunrise,
or the magnificence of a late-summer rainbow."

much (long sustained) applause!!

My yard is still "new" to me.  I find things that weren't there last year, and look for things that were there from last year, and haven't arrived yet...and maybe won't, considering the moisture we received so far this year, and hadn't, last year.  Always a surprise around the corner.

Don't even ask me about what I've seen my squirrels doing!

my naked tree is once again dressed in green
I read this to her

she nodded her leafy head
and I smiled

it's good to hear of the return of the wildflowers!  I like pansies a lot, but I can imagine a flood of gorgeos wildflowers leaving one breath-taken!  Really enjoyed the setting in your poem!  Thanks for taking me there!

Kacy your artistic pen overflows with pure beauty.  What a visual you paint for these tired old eyes today.  Hugs you!!  You ARE the free spirit, lady...
