.

A small boat
Drifts upon the water

As comes to rest
Still off the bank
Just under
Old willow’s leaves

So where
Is the boy
And that blond haired girl
Who went for a row
Late in summer’s
Cool blue afternoon

Now one head
And then another
Shyly appear
Above the helm

.
