A helping hand,
Strong and true,
Safe keeping,
Carrying me through.

In times of trouble,
Times of need,
Lost within a tidal wave,
Terrible frustrations,
Senseless greed.

A fluttering of hope,
Caressing, cleansing,
Wearing thin
Long held aches, pains,
A soul, mending.

Gratification sores,
A bird on the wing,
A child’s laughter,
As harmony sings.

A safe harbor,
A place, pure and new,
A soft landing,
A repeated welcome,
A place for me, from you.

I know I have not written in a while, and for that, I have no excuse. I find I have missed this site and now I am back. This poem is about a woman who took me in when I moved to another state. She has been very helpful to me. I am greatful for all that she has done for me. This poem is for her. I gave it to her on Mother's Day.

Hi, glad you found your way back to your pip family!

This precious poem of appreciation must have deeply touched the heart of the woman who was your port in the storm. It appears to me that you are each a blessing to the other!

Loving hug,

EA

Thank you everyone. She is definitely all of those things.
