When I think that all is lost
You find a way to set things right
When I feel my world is caving in
There you are to stop its full destruction
When I am at the very edge
You reach for me to prevent my fall
So why so I still feel
Lost within your reach

Fine thought-provoking 'write'!

[once again...I would call this
  a "slice of 'everypersons'-life
   dejavu"...I believe we all
    feel this way (perhaps too
     often) about someone!]

Applause!

Jen.
Today I realize that this listening tool will not work, and that for an indefinite period of time I will be for all practical purposes deaf.  I can still go out using a little keyboard into which people may type stuff for me to read in the Braille window. so that I can still go grocery shopping, etc.  The only way to socialize with others in church is if people take time to use the portable keyboard.  The deafness seems to make everything more difficult and complicated, but this is only until the technology is brought back on line, and I have known far worse.  It can feel very isolating and lonely.
Right now I am amusing myself reading this book.
I like imagining that, beyond the veils of circumstance, geography and time, someone perhaps still invisible and not audible is watching over me, and that the veils of separation are the rustling curtains that surround the mysteries of life.  I like imagining that she is waiting just over the horizon I can not quite see beyond, that she is there, if only in a dream.  This may sometimes help me feel "better,"
Even if it is nothing more than an imagination.
But that's all I have.

I loved this and it is SO true! Sometimes when you are really close to someone you still feel as though there is something missing, something not quite right.
Well done, you said it perfectly.
