Thanks to all of you ... this new one was a Mother's Day weekend gift ... and yes, JL, I share the green thumb with my fiance, Bill ... and I just love marrying my poetry to the photographs that I take~

Have a beautiful day, everyone~

You're lucky, Marge. I only had one hibiscus survive our -20 degree F winter this year, and she's pretty badly stunted (three inches tall at this point). I had one hibiscus, trained as a tree, that I'm going to particularly miss. I lost most of my roses, too.

On the flip side, however, we had a bumper crop of lilacs earlier this month, largely thanks to those same arctic temperatures. Lilacs naturally only produce flowers in winter climates and apparently the colder the better. I've never seen blossoms as thick as they were this year, not just in my yard but all over SW Michigan.

Oh, thank you everyone for letting me share the beauties from the garden with you~
You can 'almost' name a color ... and I've got it blooming ... or it's in a starter pot getting it's roots in place~

And Ron~
I guess that one little Hibiscus is lucky to have survived ... I hope she flourishes for you, gifting you with beautiful blooms~

*giggles* ... I've got a couple of my 'pinched-from-wherever-I-find-them-starters' that are only three inches tall and already have tiny blooms !

LOVE the idea of the Lilacs ... my, maybe you could share some of them with us too ?
(By the way ... thanks too !)

Again ... thanks so much to all of you for enjoying what Florida temperatures let me share~

Absolutely beautiful, Marge. All of the heavy rains we have had here has drowned all my flowers. Including the rose bush.
