Mild onion savour, grey-
blue cloud backlit
brilliantly through breaks.
Emerald and lemon green,
new and pristine.
Chaffinch repetitive call
echoing to pathways, where
wrens pick dog fur for
nests, whirring into shaded woodland.
Leaved dinosaur bones of
beach, coarse, towering
high and huge above younger
cousin's tender lime growth.
Pulsing on fragrant air,
something connects it all,
holds it, commands it,
moves and uses it.
Reason is within us,
revelation around the next
turn of the path?

At the touch of love, everyone becomes poets. Plato 427 BC-348.

"something connects it all,"

I like this poem because it is neat and clean.

When I read the title, I thought that is was about food-chain.

enjoyed.

Something holds it, commands it, yes, God is greater than the universe and he enjoys his wonderful complex creation.

J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.”

I love your descriptiveness and imagery.  But mostly I love the style of your thoughts.  It is like you are sharing this, relaying the visual. great job.

Hello, Phil! Did you mean Beech? That is what makes sense to me by the dinosuar bones descriptor.

My favorite part:
"Chaffinch repetitive call
echoing to pathways, where
wrens pick dog fur for
nests, whirring into shaded woodland."

I am always moved by what your eyes and heart see ~ and by the ponderings of your phil-osophical mind.

You engage all the senses of your readers!

So good to be reading the fruits of your pen once again!

Loving hug,

Linda
