Leadership

A leader has a lonely role
he has not friend nor foe,
only people following
to see where they should go.

Let him fall or stumble
and the people stay in line,
like lemmings going to their death,
they do not seem to mind.

On him the stress of all their lives,
a burden he must bear,
what if he breaks? I’ll tell you this,
they do not really care.

They’ll change their path to someone else,
for it is strange but true
that some are born to go ahead,
while others follow through.

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

you are very right sir. That is why leadership is heroic.

nice to put a truth...many people have no guts to say like this...into a poem.

enjoyed as always. You know that your poem make   lot of sense.

I like to read this kind than read about man crying being dumped. (I hope that I am not asking for trouble from others)
