None so Blind

There's none so blind... or so they say,
but things we see along the way
are sometimes meant for blinkered eye,
…what is it all those billboards cry?

If you lose weight, you'll be divine!
…hey fatty get a shape like mine?
Success is yours, Financial gain!
…to grab your money is our game?

Bombarded with a load of trite
that tries to tell us what is right
we've selective blindness to it all
for they're just posters on a wall!

But is it that we're really blind
and just see things we want to find,
or seeing things a different way
we find new wonders every day?

There's none so blind… or so they say,
what was it that you missed today?
For making choices with your sight
can let you miss much more than trite!

It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

Shall I wish for blind
so nothing  would force into my mind?

You take the everyday ordinary and make it stand out...I like that.

I have often thought that there have been things that I have "missed." That I am rather culturally deprived or something because I pay no attention to television, or because I cannot hear, I don't know what is going on.  I have not "done" many of the things most people my age seemed to have done: I haven't worked, married, have not been in other people's beds, etc.  But it is comforting  to know that sighted "non-disabled" people may also be afflicted with the same "sense" as well.
It like, I haven't bought a car, or anything.
